Stillness is the key - Ryan Holiday

 

clear understanding of the entire situation
being present, objective, open minded, patient and calm

be present - happiness, wisdom and peace can be found in the present moment
filter out unimportant issues from to much information
treat our mind as a sacred space : the harder we try to suceed, the less likely we are to do so.
think constructively about our lives, genuine and deep contemplation
Journaling can be a good tool to recover from stressfull events or improve overall well-being. (why is important then how to journal)
Silence - cultivate moments of silence each day to gain a deeper awareness of the world around us
Wisdom - allow yourself to ponder tough questions and frustraing concepts, which will help to widen our perspective.
Confidence - stillness is rooted in confident strength by honing your own sense of objective, rational confidence developed from understanding of our own strengths and weaknesses.
Mastery - The harder we work to achieve, the more difficult it becomes to accomplish. try not to focus on output, rather to focus on the process (practice and experience)
Perpetual : mind, emotions and body to exist in harmony, 
We need virtue like morality, openness, empathy, self-awareness
Pain of our past : take on the role of the adult that we are and calm that frightened child that we were.
Lust : strong morality prevent desires (lust)  from overpowering our lives
Beauty : a source of stillness, can be found from nature, music and art, and even elsewhere. embodiment of joy and peace
Faith : acknowledge a power greater than our own
Love : connect with others to achieve stillness
Balance between our mental, spiritual, and physical health
Yes and no : take time to think about the options
Motion : through movement, we're encoursed to contemplate every aspect of our journey
Routine : healthy routine can be great source of comfort. free up our energy to devote to more meaningful exploration
Life and work balance : life is a marathon not a sprint
Sleep/Rest is crucial

Anger : drive out and replace with love and gratitude
Materialism

Stillness - face problems with self awareness, patience and determination, calm and peace
take time to contemplate, seek stillness within yourself, work to understand your motivations

I'm thinking about virtues that the author mentioned in his book, sitting on a chiar in the empty room where nobody is bothering me at this moment.

I think I understand why Stillness is the key.

As I stay calm and focus on the thoughts and worries in my head, everything's getting clear. I've been worried about a little likelyhood that something bad or failure would happen. Simply staring off small thing can help my mind feel comfortable.
